VeloursNoir.net, the website devoted to my work as a professional make-up artist and cosmetologist. My name is Cat and I've been in the cosmetology industry since 2002. Since then I’ve made a career behind the chair performing services such as: hair cutting and styling, skin care, nails, and make-up.
In addition to working in salons, I have had wonderful experiences in the fashion industry with many talented make-up artists and hair stylists. This includes doing runway shows in the Denver area and LA Fashion Week (2007), Miss/Teen California (2007), and since 2002 I have worked with many talented photographers in Colorado.
In 2007 I moved to Los Angeles, California to further my education in the field of make-up and Special FX. I received a certificate at Cinema Make-Up school for a Masters make-up program. Since then I continue to educate my self in the make-up industry by keeping up with new techniques and products. And I now offer make-up styling for a wider range of the entertainment industry, including film, TV, commercials, stage shows (drag, burlesque, etc). I also do blood FX, Special Effects, prosthetic make-up and molding, as well as creating and applying airbrush make-up. And I still am available as a stylist for weddings, the prom, and other special occasions. I'm a member of the Colorado Film and Video Association.
While residing in Denver, Colorado, I travel to Los Angeles, California and other places for work. I am available for hair and make-up appointments at Littleton Hair Company, located in Littleton, CO. As for the entertainment industry, I do offer flexible scheduling if given enough notice.
